Open Pot (al fresco)

Open Pot (al fresco)

Boiling is the first group of brewing coffee method. Open pot is the cowboy (as in the Wild West, not the building trade) method of brewing coffee. It may not always be wonderful, but the equipment is not complicated, and in the face of a caffeine crisis, it works.

Measure the cold water into the pot and bring it to the boil over the fire. Put the medium-ground coffee into the water and remove the pot from the fire. Stir well, and wait about four minutes. Serve through a strainer.
