Texeria, Pedro
|
Portuguese adventurer, who in 1610,
described the beautiful parks and landscapes surrounding the coffee
houses of Baghdad. Benches and mats were placed outside the coffee
houses, and there were great lamps lit, as the houses were very
popular on summer evenings and during Ramadan, when fasts were
broken at night. One of the lowest sorting grades of damaged, broken, black beans and bean pieces, never to be exported. The plantation equivalent of factory floor sweepings. Term when coffee's body does not equal acidity or flavor; out-of-balance, watery, wishy-washy in mouth feel. The appearance or color of coffee. Usually in three tones - light, medium and dark. |
