Australia is a consumer member of the
international Coffee Organization, and although there are various
areas where good Arabica is grown on farms and stations, the
production is very small, somewhat experimental, and limited by lack
of suitable Arabica-favoring terrain. In some cases, although
planters have been successful with producing a completely processed
coffee product, even down to the finished package, they have had to
import coffee to bulk out their own crop in order to fulfill even
limited consumer demand. |
