Coffee from Zimbabwe

Coffee from Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe
The coffee cultivation in Zimbabwe is mostly Arabica, of the Blue Mountain variety. Zimbabwe's share of world production is 0.17 of one per cent, but this in real terms is the equivalent of about 174,000 bags, as Zimbabwe ships its coffee in containers. Out of several regions of cultivation, the best, and most, coffee comes from Chipinga area. The grading is by cup quality and is numbered from one to ten, one being a "fine, well-balanced cup".

The taste of some of the best can be described as having good acidity, medium body and pleasant aroma, phrases reminiscent of the profiles of coffees from Malawi and Tanzania.
